There were approximately 70 illegal stations operating at the end of 1988. All but two of these stations went off the air at 31 January. A further three stations have since come to notice.
Action against one of these stations is a matter which is being dealt with in the courts as I speak. Action will be taken against the other stations in the immediate future.
