Vol. 386 No. 7

Written Answers. - Income Aid to Farmers.

67.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food, in view of the agreement reached last week at the Council of Ministers meeting in Brussels, the income aid which will be available to Irish farmers from the EC and from the Government; and when it will be introduced.

The agreement on a system of transitional aids to agricultural incomes reached by the Council of Ministers at their January meeting was one of principle. A final text of the measures will now have to be drawn up and agreed. Until this has been done, it is not possible to say how the measure will operate.
