Vol. 387 No. 1

Written Answers. - Below Cost Selling Ban.

82.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the reason potatoes are not included in the ban on below cost selling.

At the time of the making of the Restrictive Practices (Groceries) Order, 1987, certain grocery goods, which were considered to be particularly liable to deterioration such as fresh fruit and vegatables, meat and fish, were excluded from the scope of the order. Potatoes were included in this category.
