I do not know what report the Deputy is referring to. Last October, an EC recommendation was agreed to promote co-operation between public utilities and auto-producers of electricity. Following that my Department began an internal review of the merits and disadvantages of CHP to establish whether there might be any benefits at a national level. This review is at an early stage and it is not yet possible to draw any conclusions.
Can the Minister indicate whether the results of this internal review will be made available to the House should a parliamentary question be tabled?
