asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if the Taoiseach has received documents relating to the Gibraltar inquest from the leader of the Labour Party; if he has received a report on the inquest from the lawyer representing the Government in Gibraltar; the steps he proposes to take in the matter; if he proposes to seek any further review of the findings of that inquest; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Government have received a number of documents relating to the Gibraltar inquest including copies of certain documents from the leader of the Labour Party. The Government have also received the report of their official observer. The question of a further Government response on the matter is under continuing consideration.
