The Revenue Commissioners have advised me that the taxpayer ceased employment on 23 December, 1988 and submitted a claim for repayment of tax on the grounds of unemployment to the inspector of taxes of 28 January, 1989. The claim has now been dealt with and a cheque in settlement should reach the taxpayer shortly.
If the taxpayer remains unemployed, he may at four weekly intervals submit further claims for repayment of tax deducted.
