Vol. 387 No. 7

Request to Move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 30.

Deputy John Bruton gave me notice that he wishes to move the Adjournment of the Dáil today under Standing Order No. 30. Will the Deputy please state the matter?

I request leave to move the Adjournment of the Dáil today under Standing Order 30 in order to allow a debate to take place on the crisis in the bakery industry and the lack of any effective Government action in that field.

I consider the motion to be one contemplated by Standing Order 30. Will the Members who support the request please rise in their places?

More than 12 Deputies rose in their places.

The required number of Deputies have risen in their places and I accordingly give leave to raise the motion. The motion can be moved at 7 p.m. or at such hour as the Dáil may appoint.

I would propose that the House would appoint 5.30 p.m. for the moving of that motion.
