asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Clare will be paid a headage grant.

The 1988 calf premium will be paid to the person named shortly. The 1987 ewe premium has not been paid because, to date, the person named has not satisfied my Department that he had in his ownership and possession the number of ewes upon which he claimed the premium or that he kept that number for the required 100 days from 11 March 1988.

The person named has been paid his 1988 cattle and equines headage, EC suckler cow premium, special beef premium and calf premium schemes grants already.
