Vol. 387 No. 9

Written Answers. - Revenue Commissioners' Relocation.

29.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will make a statement regarding the progress made to date in relocating the Collector General's Office and in disposing of the leasehold interest in Teach Earlsfort, Dublin 2; and the total cost of the relocation and the improvements, if any, made in staff accommodation.

A total of some 240 staff have been moved from Teach Earlsfort to other office accommodation. Approximately £186,000 was spent on improvements to the Teach Earlsfort premises and I am advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the total relocation costs to date amount to £395,000. The question of how best to dispose of the State's leasehold interest in Teach Earlsfort is being examined.
