The award, by competition, of the lecturer I salary scale to certain teachers in the Army Apprentice School, Naas, is a matter for the County Kildare VEC. I am assured that the selection board in question acted in accordance with the guidelines laid down by my Department and took all relevant factors into account in making its recommendations.
