Vol. 387 No. 10

Written Answers. - Super-Levy Penalty.

63.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will consider exempting farmers of under 25,000 gallons of quota from any super-levy penalty in the present milk year; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The relevant Community regulations provide that every producer who becomes liable for a super-levy payment must make the payment due. I have no flexibility therefore to exempt any farmer from his levy liability under the European Community Regulations.
