asked the Minister for the Environment the present position regarding the proposed sewerage scheme for Ardara, County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I would refer the Deputy to the reply to Question No. 33 of 9 April 1987. The position remains unchanged.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in commencing work on the Annagry sewerage scheme, County Donegal which was sanctioned and advertised for tender over a year ago; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The awarding of this contract is a matter for Donegal County Council. I understand that discussions have taken place between officials of the council and the contractor on the contract sum having regard to increases in costs that have arisen since the tender was submitted. The submission of the necessary details is awaited in my Department.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position regarding the proposed sewerage scheme at Laghey, County Donegal.

Subject to certain technical amendments, approval to a preliminary report and to the preparation of contract documents for this scheme issued to Donegal County Council in November 1984. The further planning of this scheme is a matter for Donegal County Council.
