asked the Minister for the Environment if he will have an inspection carried out in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Meath who is an applicant for a new house grant; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The receipt of additional documentation and information requested from the applicant is awaited.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in payment of a house improvement grant to a person (details supplied) in County Louth; and when the grant will be paid.

The receipt of certain information requested from the applicant is awaited.

asked the Minister for the Environment if a person (details supplied) in County Kildare will qualify for the £5,000 house grant which was made available to personnel in the Defence Forces who required housing accommodation; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Applications for the £5,000 surrender grant are handled by the relevant local authority up to the stage of certification for payment. The appropriate certificate has not been received in the Department in this case.
