Vol. 388 No. 5

Written Answers. - Unleaded Petrol.

296.

asked the Minister for Energy if, following the exhortations of the Minister for the Environment in respect of the use of unleaded petrol, he has corresponded with all the semi-State bodies under his aegis directing them to use unleaded petrol in all of the petrol driven vehicles which are under the control, ownership or leasing of those semi-State companies; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

My Department have written to all the semi-State organisations under my aegis in this matter. These bodies are currently examining the wider use of unleaded petrol in their operations.
