Vol. 388 No. 8

Written Answers. - Galway Special School Improvements.

148.

asked the Minister for Education the reason for the delay in approving a replacement building for St. Joseph's Special School, Snipe Avenue, Newcastle, Galway.

149.

asked the Minister for Education if the conditions at St. Joseph's Special School, Snipe Avenue, Newcastle, Galway are suitable for the education of the 93 moderately handicapped children who attend there.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 148 and 149 together. I accept that conditions at St. Joseph's Special National School, Snipe Avenue, Newcastle, Galway, are not satisfactory. I have, therefore, approved the provision of a new school building and architectural planning for the project is now in hands.
