Vol. 388 No. 9

Written Answers. - Birmingham Six Appeal.

52.

asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the findings of the Government's observer at the appeal of the Birmingham Six; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Government were represented at the Birmingham Six appeal hearing by our Ambassador in London and members of the embassy staff who reported fully on all aspects of the proceedings.

As the Deputy may be aware from my reply to a similar question in the Dáil last year, it is not the practice of the Government to publicise the contents of confidential reports of this kind.
