asked the Minister for the Environment the total amount of money either already paid or payable by his Department to Carr Communications Limited since March 1987; the purpose and for whom the company was engaged; the expenditure to date or now owed to this company in relation to either himself or the Minister of State in his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The company concerned has been engaged to provide a public communications service in relation to programmes and activities of my Department and local authorities. The total cost of this service from March 1987 to the beginning of April 1989 is £40,775.

asked the Minister for Labour the total amount of money either already paid or payable by his Department to Carr Communications Limited since March 1987; the purpose and for whom the company was engaged; the expenditure to date or now owed to this company by his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

My Department has not engaged the services of the company mentioned during the period in question.
