Vol. 389 No. 7

Written Answers. - Western Health Board Ambulances.

171.

asked the Minister for Health if he will provide funding to the Western Health Board to replace six aged ambulances in their fleet of vehicles, which replacements are long overdue.

The provision of ambulances is a matter for each health board in the first instance.

My Department have not received an application from the board for funds to replace these vehicles. Such expenditure should be met in the normal course from the board's annual allocation, which, for 1989, is £108.903 million.
