Vol. 390 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Shankill (Dublin) Garda Station.

8.

asked the Minister for Justice if the opening of the new Garda station in Shankill, County Dublin, will result in a rationalisation of Garda activity, including the closure of some existing Garda stations in the vicinity of Shankill; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The new Garda station at Shankill will replace the existing station building which is no longer suitable for Garda purposes. The provision of the new Shankill station will not affect any other station in the vicinity and will not involve any change in Garda deployment in the South County Dublin area.
