Vol. 391 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Written Answers. - Provision of Tallaght (Dublin) School.

67.

asked the Minister for Education if she has any plans to provide a school for physically and mentally handicapped children in Tallaght, Dublin 24; if her attention has been drawn to the fact that there is an urgent need for such a facility; and if she will make a statement on her proposals in the matter.

Education of physically and mentally handicapped children in Tallaght is being provided for in existing special schools and special classes attached to ordinary primary schools serving the area.

My Department have no plans at present to provide further facilities for the education of physically and mentally handicapped children in Tallaght. However, I will be keeping this matter under review within my Department.
