Vol. 392 No. 1

Written Answers. - Tallaght Footbridge.

262.

asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the footbridge at Tallaght over the Tallaght By-pass, Dublin 24 N81 needs a skid resistant surface and painting; if funds will be provided to Dublin County Council to enable this essential work to be done; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The maintenance of this footbridge, which forms part of a national secondary road, is a matter for the local authority, Dublin County Council. In 1989, a grant of £77,000 was allocated to the local authority for ordinary maintenance works on national secondary roads.
