The psychiatric nurse referred to in the question was reinstated following investigation. I have indicated to the Psychiatric Nurses Association that I am satisfied that the Chief Executive Officer of the South Eastern Health Board in considering the case in question acted in accordance with the provisions of section 22 of the Health Act, 1970.
I am considering other issues raised in the Association's letter and I shall be writing to them again shortly.
