The commencement date of manufacturing at the Pechenga Meat Processing Plant in Jamestown, County Leitrim is, in the first instance, a matter for the company. When the plant is ready to commence production my Department will carry out an inspection to ensure compliance with the various EC directives on intra-Community trade in fresh meat and meat products.
