Vol. 392 No. 3

Written Answers. - Inspection of Premises.

36.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food, arising from his reply to Parliamentary Question No. 43 of 14 March 1989, regarding a visit by his Department's inspectors to the premises of Eir Freeze Ltd., East Wall, Dublin 3, if the examination of the matter, which he said at the time was underway, has yet been concluded; if not, when it is expected to be concluded; the number of persons who were found on the premises working without the supervision of his Department; if such persons were employees of Eir Freeze or of a subcontractor; if they were employees of a sub-contractor, if he will name the firm; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Summonses have been issued by the District Court in respect of an incident which occurred at the premises of Eir Freeze Limited., on 4 March 1989. As the matter is now sub-judice I am not in a position to discuss any further details of this case.
