Vol. 392 No. 9

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take Nos. 9 and 10. It is also proposed that the Dáil shall meet tomorrow at 10.30 a.m. and shall adjourn not later than 4 p.m.

Is the proposal for tomorrow's sitting agreed? Agreed.

May I raise on the Adjournment the question of the adequacy of policing in the Finglas area arising from the incident the night before last and other recent occurrences?

I will be in touch with the Deputy.

I should like to ask the Taoiseach, or the Minister for Justice, if they are aware of the fact that there are now 40,000 cases waiting to be dealt with in the Land Registry Office and that the situation has become totally chaotic.

This is not a matter for the Order of Business.

Some action will have to be taken. I see the Minister for Justice nodding his head; he is obviously aware of this. May I ask if something will be done?

It should be pursued in the appropriate way.

The appropriate way would be for something to be done. Some action should be taken.

The Deputy ought to take steps along those lines.
