Vol. 392 No. 9

Written Answers. - Tax Refund.

57.

asked the Minister for Finance the reason Deputy Gay Mitchell has not received a reply to his representations to the Revenue Commissioners concerning a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12; and if he will give the information sought.

The Revenue Commissioners have advised me that Deputy Mitchell's representations were received and acknowledged by the inspector of taxes. The inspector then wrote to the taxpayer for further details necessary to review his case. These details have now been furnished. There is no refund of tax due to the taxpayer. The inspector wrote to Deputy Mitchell and to the taxpayer advising them of the position on 7 November 1989.
