Vol. 393 No. 1

Written Answers. - Cavan Swimming Pool.

66.

asked the Minister for the Environment if the necessary finance will be provided to enable the building of the Cavan county swimming pool to commence in 1990 in view of the fact that the necessary local contribution has been raised and County Cavan is the only county in Ireland which does not have an indoor heated swimming pool available to the public; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I will consider the proposals from Cavan County Council for the provision of a swimming pool in the context of the overall availability of capital for swimming pools in 1990 and the competing demands from local authorities for available funds.
