Vol. 393 No. 2

Written Answers. - Irish Medical Council.

64.

asked the Minister for Health if members of the Irish Medical Council are appointed by him; if his attention has been drawn to the attitude of some members of the council towards foreign doctors' registration as outlined in a report (details supplied); and the action he proposes to take in the matter.

The Medical Council consist of 25 members, six of whom are appointed by me. I am informed by the Medical Council that they absolutely reject the allegations in the report referred to by the Deputy.
