Vol. 393 No. 2

Written Answers. - Recording of Archaelogical Items.

76.

asked the Minister for Finance if the Office of Public Works carried out any recent survey of the number of headstones, gravestones or engraved stones of archaelogical significance which have been improperly removed from protected sites; and, if so, the findings.

While a start has been made in recording headstones, gravestones etc., in some of our major archaeological sites no comprehensive survey has as yet been carried out by the Commissioners of Public Works.
