Dáil Éireann debate -
Wednesday, 22 Nov 1989

Vol. 393 No. 5

Written Answers. - Increased Estimates Allocations.

75.

(Limerick East) asked the Minister for Finance if he will outline the changes in the provision of services which will be made as a result of any increase or decrease in the amount of money allocated in the 1990 Estimates for the Public Service, to any subhead in any vote; the policy changes, if any, which arise from each subhead allocation; the date from which he expects the policy to change; and if he will make a statement on the overall effects of the Estimates' changes on the delivery of services by Government Departments.

The information required by the Deputy is of a nature which is more appropriate to the debates on individual Estimates. The Deputy will have an opportunity in due course to raise such detailed issues on the appropriate Estimates as they come before Dáil Éireann for approval. If, however, there are specific issues in individual Estimates in which the Deputy has a particular interest, he should put down separate questions on these matters.
