asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he is concerned about the deterioration in the quality of Irish potatoes, particularly the large incidence of disease prevalent in same; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

There is no deterioration in the quality of Irish potatoes and indeed the level of disease present in this season's crop is reported to be less than in recent years.
