Vol. 393 No. 8

Written Answers. - Removal of Consultant.

171.

asked the Minister for Health if he will make a statement on the removal of a consultant neuro-surgeon (details supplied) from the public health service as a result of the decision of the management of Crumlin Hospital, Dublin 12, to terminate his contract with them.

This is a matter which has been determined between the consultant concerned and the board of the hospital after detailed consideration. It would be inappropriate for me to become involved in any discussion on the matter.

I would refer the Deputy to my comments in the House on 23 November on the Adjournment debate.
