The person concerned is currently in receipt of pension at the weekly rate of £62.60. This payment consists of £53.70 — the maximum weekly personal rate of non-contributory pension payable to a pensioner over 80 years — plus £3.90 living alone allowance and £5 free fuel allowance.
An application to have an agent appointed to collect the pension on the person's behalf was received in the Department on 19 September 1989. The agency application was approved and amended pension books issued to the local post office on 22 September 1989.
