I have given priority to the examination of interconnection so that we will be in a position to make an early decision on the matter. The Government have decided that now is the best time to tackle the fairly extensive planning requirements that would precede a decision on a project of that size. Developments in the Community require that we should be in a position to avail of any opportunities that present themselves.
