The authorised staffing for Cloghane national school for the 1989-90 school year is a principal plus one assistant.
The Board of Management of the school submitted an application for the appointment of a third teacher on grounds that the school was in breach of maximum class size guidelines. This application was examined by my Department and the appointment of a third teacher to the school was not found to be warranted.
