I propose to take Questions Nos. 268 and 269 together.
A total of six post-primary schools in South Tipperary have an ex-quota guidance teacher, including one on a shared schools arrangement, and four have an ex-quota remedial teacher. A list of the schools in question is being circulated in the Official Report.

asked the Minister for Education if she will name the primary schools in South County Tipperary which have the services of a remedial teacher; if she will name the schools which applied to her Department for this service; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
Of the 88 national schools in South County Tipperary, 20 have the services of a remedial teacher.
It would not be appropriate for my Department to divulge information as to which schools applied for, or have the services of, a remedial teacher. The release of such information would be a matter for individual boards of management.
