Vol. 394 No. 4

Written Answers. - Excise Duty Rate.

78.

asked the Minister for Finance if the rate of excise duty on non-alcoholic beers is the same as the excise duty on ordinary beers.

Non-alcoholic beers bear a specially reduced excise duty charge of 37.2p per gallon or 4.65p per pint. The excise duty borne by ordinary beer is £152.595 per standard barrel or, on average, approximately 37.6p per pint.
