Vol. 394 No. 4

Written Answers. - Farm Development Schemes.

108.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when an approval form under the farm development scheme will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

The approval will issue as soon as possible.

109.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if his attention has been drawn to the fact that grants under the farm development service for anti-pollution work and other works are based on outdated costings; that because of that the farmers availing of these grants receive considerably less than the percentage listed; and if he has any plans to up-date the departmental costings.

123.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if the costings for farm development grants will be updated in view of the fact that the present costings are almost 30 per cent below the real cost; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I propose to answer Questions Nos. 109 and 123 together.

The standard costings for schemes operated by my Department are at present under review. The question of revising the costings will be considered in the light of that review.
