The divisional office for the Louth-Meath Garda division was transferred from Drogheda to Dundalk at the end of April 1989 and there are no plans to change this arrangement. The decision to transfer the divisional headquarters to Dundalk was made in the interests of the effective management of the extensive Garda resources allocated to the division.
