I approved Clare County Council's proposal to accept tenders for the Doonbeg sewerage scheme on 8 June, 1989. Difficulties arose in relation to the recommended tender for the civil works contract and the council submitted a further tender recommendation to my Department for approval. This proposal is under consideration at present.
