Vol. 394 No. 6

Written Answers. - Tax Refund Claims.

68.

asked the Minister for Finance the number of claims made for tax refunds following a case (details supplied); if there are outstanding claims; and the amount of money in total refunded to date.

The Revenue Commissioners have advised me that statistics are not recorded which would enable the information requested by the Deputy to be provided. Such statistics could be provided only at a disproportionate cost. Not all claims received have been dealt with and these are receiving attention. In many instances it is necessary to seek further information from the claimant concerning the pension scheme before a refund may be approved for payment.
