120 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will publish plans on his strategy to increase employment in the food industry in view of the collapse of the IDA arrangement with a company (details supplied) and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The Government's strategy for the development of the food industry is set out in the Programme for National Recovery and detailed in the five year plan published by the IDA in 1987. This strategy is not affected by any problems that might arise in relation to any individual project.
