Question:

156 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Education if remedial teachers who travel from one school to another in rural areas are being paid an expense allowance by her Department; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Remedial and special class teachers who are assigned to teach children in more than one school are paid travelling expenses at the appropriate public service rates.
