Written Answers. - Kilkenny Driving Tests Waiting List.

182 Mr. Browne (Carlow-Kilkenny) asked the Minister for the Environment if he is satisfied with the six month delay involved for those who are doing driving tests in articulated lorries in the Kilkenny area for the EC licence; and if he has any plans to rectify the problem.

The current waiting period for such tests in Kilkenny is 26 weeks. The situation in Kilkenny, as in every other area, will improve significantly when the additional testers, currently being recruited, have been trained and brought into the system.
