Vol. 396 No. 6

Written Answers. - Cardiac Ambulance.

Bernard Allen

Question:

199 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the fact that there is no cardiac ambulance in the Cork city area; and the steps he will take to ensure that the stalemate which exists there will be rectified in the interests of public health.

The provision of ambulance services in the Cork city area is a matter for the Southern Health Board in the first instance. I understand that the board, in considering the development of cardiology services, will further assess the need for a cardiac ambulance in Cork city.
