Vol. 396 No. 7

Written Answers. - Consumer Affairs Investigations.

Bernard Allen

Question:

40 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will give an assurance that all complaints received by the Office of Consumer Affairs and Fair Trade from outside the Dublin area will be investigated fully; and if inspectors will travel to areas outside Dublin to carry out investigations of such complaints.

I understand that all complaints received by the Office of Consumer Affairs and Fair Trade are being investigated fully. In cases where this entails inspectors having to travel to areas outside of Dublin, sufficient financial resources are available to the office to enable this to happen.
