Vol. 396 No. 9

Written Answers. - County Meath National School.

Colm M. Hilliard

Question:

187 Mr. Hilliard asked the Minister for Education the present position regarding the proposed new national school at Kilmessan, County Meath.

It was originally intended to provide a new central national school at Kilmessan, County Meath, but this project did not proceed for various reasons. The school authorities have now indicated to my Department that they wish the existing school building to be retained and improved. My Department's professional advisers are at present examining the whole situation and when their report is to hand it is proposed to hold discussions with the school authorities in order to finalise the brief for the project.

I will keep the Deputy advised of developments in this regard.
