Vol. 396 No. 9

Written Answers. - Removal of Embargo.

Richard Bruton

Question:

71 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Finance whether, in view of his decision to recommence recruiting in certain circumstances, he will also remove the total embargo on moving employees from the unestablished status to established; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

There is no embargo at present preventing unestablished officers from being made established. In order to be made established an officer must normally have competed successfully at a competition held by the Civil Service Commissioners.
