Vol. 396 No. 9

Written Answers. - Barretstown Estate Deed of Trust.

Emmet Stagg

Question:

76 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Finance the terms of the deed of trust drawn up in 1977 when Barretstown Estate, Ballymore Eustace, County Kildare, was handed over to the State; and if he is satisfied that the terms of the deed are being fulfilled.

As assets at Barretstown Estate, Ballymore Eustace, County Kildare, are the subject of a private bequest to the State, the Commissioners of Public Works as trustees on behalf of the State are not at liberty to breach the confidentiality of the trust deed.

Every effort is made to ensure that the terms of the deed of trust are fulfilled.
