79 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for the Marine the proposals, if any, he has to have the Office of Public Works complete in a satisfactory manner the dredging operation at Helvick Pier, Ring, Dungarvan, County Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Helvick Harbour is the responsibility of Waterford County Council. While grant aid for works, including dredging, was paid to Waterford County Council by my Department, the dredging was undertaken by a contractor employed by the county council. The question of undertaking further dredging is a matter for consideration by Waterford County Council.
